Of all the 4Cs, cut is the one that brings a diamond to life.

Cut is not about the shape—whether round, oval, or emerald—it’s about how the diamond’s facets are precisely angled and proportioned to interact with light. A masterful cut transforms raw beauty into brilliance, turning each facet into a mirror that captures fire, sparkle, and scintillation.

A well-cut diamond appears more radiant, often even larger, than a heavier stone with a poor cut. This is why cut is widely considered the most important factor in a diamond’s visual appeal.

At Segal Diamonds, we only select diamonds that meet or exceed strict standards of cut quality. Every stone is evaluated not just for technical precision, but for the way it performs in real life—how it plays with light, how it moves you.

Clarity – The Purity Within

Clarity refers to the natural internal features (inclusions) or surface characteristics (blemishes) that form as each diamond takes shape. These are nature’s unique signatures—evidence of a stone’s formation history.

At Segal Diamonds, we work exclusively with clarity grades of VS2 and above. This means every diamond in our collection is Very Slightly Included or better—where any inclusions are minute, difficult to detect even under magnification, and completely invisible to the naked eye.

Colour – The Language of Light

When it comes to diamonds, colour is all about tone and purity. For white diamonds, the less color present, the rarer—and more valuable—the stone.

At Segal Diamonds, we work exclusively with F color and higher. This means each white diamond in our collection falls within the ‘colorless to near-colorless’ range on the GIA scale. In simple terms, these diamonds appear crisp, bright, and visibly icy white, without the yellowish or warm tones found in lower grades.

Why F and above? Because these diamonds reflect light with maximum brilliance and purity, enhancing the beauty and elegance of every piece we craft.

But not all diamonds are white.

We also specialise in fancy colour diamonds—exceedingly rare stones that display natural, vivid hues such as pink, blue, yellow, or green. Unlike white diamonds, which are graded on absence of colour, fancy diamonds are prized for the depth, saturation, and intensity of their hue.

To put it into perspective: for every 10,000 white diamonds mined or grown, only one may be a fancy colour diamond—and even fewer meet our standards of vibrancy, proportion, and polish. Pink and blue diamonds, in particular, are among the most rare and valuable in the world.
